The Arizona Cardinals signed offensive lineman Mike Gibson on Tuesday, according to Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly. Gibson is in his fourth year out of Cal and has not played this season after spending the preseason with the Eagles.
Gibson has made 20 career NFL appearances, all with the Seattle Seahawks, from 2009 to 2011. He played 14 games during the 2010 season, including eight starts. He was originally drafted in the sixth-round by Philadelphia in 2008.
The Cardinals have struggled on the offensive line all season, and that has limited both their running and passing games. Arizona ranks last in total yards per game, yards per play, rushing yards per game, passing yards per attempt, and points per game.
Arizona is on a nine-game losing streak. The Cardinals will be looking to break that when they face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, who are on a five-game losing streak themselves. Both teams have 4-9 records on the year.
