The Arizona Cardinals made a number of roster moves this week, including placing linebacker O'Brien Schofield on injured reserve and ending his season. Schofield suffered a torn ligament in his ankle against the Packers on Sunday. To fill his roster spot, the club re-signed defensive end Ronald Talley, who spent time with the team in 2011.
Schofield's presence will be missed, as he recorded 34 tackles and four sacks in nine games this season. Talley played six games for the Cardinals last year, recording two tackles in limited action.
Arizona also re-signed cornerback Greg McCoy to the team's practice squad to fill the void left by Credzon Butler, who signed with the Buffalo Bills. Lastly, the Cardinals reached an injury settlement with tackle Jeremy Bridgers.
The Cardinals will have a much-needed bye in Week 10 before visiting the undefeated Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. Arizona has lost five-straight games after starting the season 4-0.
