Cardinals injury report: William Powell, Justin Bethel upgraded

The Arizona Cardinals upgraded William Powell and Justin Bethel to full participants for Thursday's practice.

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

Running back William Powell and safety Justin Bethel were upgraded to full participants for the Arizona Cardinals' Thursday practice, and receiver Andre Roberts remains the only player completely out of action.

Roberts, the Cardinals' leading receiver, is dealing with a sprained ankle. Powell and Bethel were each dealing with shoulder injuries and were limited in Wednesday's practice.

Powell has 28 carries for 116 yards as a backup running back but has seen much time as a kick returner. He has 16 kick returns for 406 yards. Bethel, a rookie from Presbyterian, has eight tackles this year.

Otherwise, Thursday's injury report looked about the same as Wednesday's. Quarterback Kevin Kolb is limited while recovering from his rib injury, receiver LaRon Byrd is limited after taking a hard hit to the head against the St. Louis Rams last week and defensive end Calais Campbell is taking it cautiously because of a calf injury.

Also limited is receiver Early Doucet, who has a rib injury, and running back Beanie Wells, who played on Sunday, but is still working his way back from a knee injury.
