Calais Campbell likely, Todd Heap possible to return for Cardinals vs. Jets

The Cardinals are hoping to get some important pieces back on Sunday.

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell is likely to return to action this week after missing the team's last game against the St. Louis Rams with an injured calf. Tight end Todd Heap may also play against the Jets on Sunday, according to azcardinals.com.

Campbell is the Cardinals' most effective defensive lineman. He has tallied 37 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2012. Campbell had the best season of his five-year career in 2011, when he amassed 72 tackles, eight sacks, an interception and 10 pass breakups.

Heap is in his 12th year out of Arizona State, and hasn't seen action since the Cardinals' Week 2 victory over the New England Patriots. He played a key role in Arizona's offense before suffering a knee injury, as he was targeted 13 times in just two games. Heap turned those targets into eight catches for 94 yards.

The Cardinals are hoping both can return and help end a seven-game losing streak when the team heads to New York this weekend.
