It's looking like the Rams will be without their most reliable receiver Sunday when they play the Arizona Cardinals after Danny Amendola (foot) was slapped with a doubtful tag, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Amendola has been in and out of the lineup since sustaining a broken collarbone in Arizona's visit to St. Louis earlier this season. The 27-year-old pass catcher was able to make a surprising return just five weeks later against the San Francisco 49ers before tweaking his foot the very next weekend.
Amendola has yet to shed his walking boot two days before the game so it's seems highly unlikely he'll be active to make any contributions, especially since he didn't practice at all this week.
Chris Givens and Brandon Gibson are expected to both get the starting nod with Amendola out of the mix. Austin Pettis, Brian Quick and Steve Smith should also see some action against the Cardinals as they rotate in the slot.
