The quarterback carousel that has been a hallmark of the Arizona Cardinals' disappointing season now has a new member -- Ryan Lindley.
Lindley will start on Sunday, becoming the third different starting quarterback for the Cardinals this season. John Skelton started the season as the starter and got hurt. Kevin Kolb replaced him then he got hurt too. Skelton came back to the lineup but has struggled, eventually leading to his benching that turned into Lindley's opportunity.
Skelton is frustrated, to say the least, as told to the Arizona Republic.
"Right now, just the whole situation. Obviously, losing six in a row is frustrating. What transpired on Sunday and then now, the benching, obviously is frustrating."
Skelton has struggled in his six games played this season. He is only completing 54.7 percent of his passes and has accumulated 1,058 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions. The Cardinals have lost six straight games and have not reached the 20-point mark in any of their six losses, including only scoring three points on two different occasions.
In Skelton's last game against the Atlanta Falcons, he started 2-for-7 for just 6 yards before being pulled for Lindley, who finished the game 9-for-20 for 64 yards and was sacked three times.
The Cardinals host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
