There are just six games remaining in the season, but questions still surround who will take the snaps as the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. John Skelton got the nod against Atlanta, but was benched in favor of rookie Ryan Lindley after just seven pass attempts in the loss.
Lindley didn't exactly grab hold of the job, completing just 9 of 20 passes for 64 yards. Whisenhunt was asked on Monday if he had yet decided on the starter for this week's game against the Rams, according to azcardinals.com:
"We’ve got to sit down as a staff and look at what we’re trying to get done and make that evaluation," Whisenhunt said. "We’re looking at a lot of things, not just the quarterback position."
The Cardinals will need to change something to break out of their current tailspin. Arizona has lost six consecutive games after winning its first four. Quarterback has been an issue all year, as the Cardinals have moved between Kevin Kolb and Skelton. Now it appears Lindley may be added to the mix.
St. Louis has struggled to win recently themselves, as the Rams are 0-4-1 since moving to 3-2.
