After being sidelined with turf toe, the four-year pro is expected to start at running back for the Cardinals on Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals will activate running back Beanie Wells this week, and the team expects him to start in their upcoming game against the St. Louis Rams.

Wells has been plagued by a turf toe injury and has only been able to play in three games for the Cardinals this season. The fourth-year back has been out of action since the team's 27-6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 23. Wells get the start despite a stellar game from running back LaRod Stephens-Howling on Sunday.

Cornerback Patrick Peterson, who left the Cardinals' 23-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons with cramping in his hamstring is expected to be a full participant in the team's practices this week.

Quarterback Kevin Kolb is working to come back from a concussion, and could make head coach Ken Whisenhunt's decision on a starting signal caller a little more difficult following the benching of John Skelton for rookie Ryan Lindley last Sunday.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:25 p.m. MT at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday and the game will be televised on FOX.
