Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson was removed from the team's nickel package in favor of Rashad Johnson in Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and had little to say about the demotion after the game.
When the media asked him a question about the benching, Wilson suggested they take their inquisitions somewhere else stating "that's a head coach question," according to the team's site.
Well, the Cardinals' reporters did exactly that and Ken Whisenhunt was clearly content with the move after Johnson picked off Matt Ryan on the first play of the game:
"Looks like it worked pretty well, didn't it?" Whisenhunt said of the secondary change. "Like I said, it was consistent with our message to the team and I think our team rallied behind that. Our team played hard today."
Johnson was also credited with recovering the fumble that cornerback Greg Toler tossed back into play while diving out of bounds. Johnson added a tackle and a pass deflection while Wilson finished the day with only one tackle.
Wilson had started every game he's played in since 2008 before Sunday's contest.
