Monday Night Football will feature two top teams from a surprisingly strong NFC West division in Week 8 as the San Francisco 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, Ariz.
The 49ers will come into the contest with one of the NFL's best defenses and will face an Arizona Cardinals team that will be without its top two running backs, Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams. The ground game figures to give the Cardinals fits as they have managed just 89.3 yards per contest while San Francisco allows an average of just 98.9.
Arizona will also be without quarterback Kevin Kolb, who despite losing out on the starting job out of training camp has been the team's leading passer with 1169 yards through the air and eight touchdowns. If the Cardinals are going to overcome their injuries, they will have to do so with John Skelton at the helm.
Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett is still fighting through injuries, and was limited in Friday's practice. He was joined by other limited participants, offensive lineman Adam Snyder, safety Kerry Rhodes and tight end Todd Heap.
