NFL Week 8 injury report, San Francisco 49ers: Frank Gore a full participant, Joe Staley limited

Examining Friday's injury report for the San Francisco 49ers.

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

The San Francisco 49ers have had a couple of key players banged up in practice this week, although their injury report on Friday brought some good news.

Starting running back Frank Gore, who is dealing with a rib issue, was a full participant for the second day in a row. He seems likely to play on Monday night against the Cardinals. Mario Manningham was a full participant as well despite a shoulder injury. Manningham has played sparingly this season after signing a free agent contract in the offseason. Alex Smith also gave it a full go despite a sprained middle finger on his non-throwing hand.

Pro bowl left tackle Joe Staley has been out most of the week with an undisclosed illness. After missing practice completely on Thursday, Staley was limited this afternoon. If there was any doubt about how he was feeling, the lineman even danced to Gangnam Style during team warmups.
