As the Arizona Cardinals get ready to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a big NFC West clash, nobody is more excited than Darnell Dockett. The man who teammate Calais Campbell said hate the 49ers more than anyone else on the team is pumped up and expects a very physical game, which is no surprise considering that it features two of the NFL's best defenses.
It's one of those games where you've got to put your big boy pads on, expect to be in the cold tub from Tuesday to Friday, expect to get beat up on -- on both sides of the ball, and that's for them, too. I'm ready for it, I'll be ready for it.
Despite trailing the 49ers in every major defensive category besides turnovers and sacks (admittedly very important categories) Dockett insisted that the Cardinals have a better defense than their NFC West rivals. You can bet that will be on the San Francisco bulletin boards, which doesn't seem like it would bother Dockett. At this point, it doesn't seem like anything can bother Dockett. He is coming out ready to hit.
It's tough to imagine a Jim Harbaugh team not coming into any game without their big boy pads on and the Cardinals seem ready to match that. The Cards are just one game back of the 49ers for the division lead and the game is on Monday Night Football so the stadium should be charged up for the game. Dockett sure will be.
