After a cardiac episode-inducing 24-21 overtime win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals have begun to prepare for their next game.
After sitting out Sunday's game, tight end Todd Heap (knee) was held out of practice as a precautionary measure. Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett (hamstring) did participate in practice albeit in a limited capacity. Sunday was the first game missed by Dockett. Heap has been out for two of the four games played so far.
There is optimism is the desert that both Heap and Dockett will be available to return to the playing field this week for the Cardinals. It's a short prep week for Arizona, as they'll be facing the St. Louis Rams on Thursday.
The absence of both players in the lineup has been felt, but it has not hampered the success of the 4-0 Cardinals. On Thursday, they'll take on the 2-2 Rams who are coming off a big win over division rival Seattle on Sunday.
