Arizona Cardinals Reportedly Interested In Peyton Manning

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly interested In Peyton Manning. That is of course, if all the pieces fall into place.

Well, the Arizona Cardinals offseason is still in it's infancy, but it's already shaping up to be a wild one.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, sidelined quarterback Peyton Manning just may be on the Cardinals radar this offseason, if and only if a lot of if's take place, starting with if the Indianapolis Colts take Andrew Luck overall in the 2012 NFL draft, then cutting Peyton from their team.

Per Adam Schefter on Twitter:

This would be big for Arizona, finally eradicating the quarterback problem from the Cardinals. But a number of extenuating circumstances to make this all happen, and they still have the Jets, Dolphins and Redskins to compete with.

There is also the issue of whether or not Peyton, can even play football again, or should, according to his health. There has not been any recent updates or improvements to his health status as the surgically repaired nerves in his neck continue to regenerate, leaving likely the biggest question mark in all of this.

If Peyton, 35, is not cut by the Colts by March 8, he is due a $28 million roster bonus from the contract he signed last summer, meaning Indianapolis has about a littler over a month to figure out what to do with their future hall of famer.

Unfortunately for Peyton (and the rest of us) a Brett Favreish media-storm is approaching, and the grey clouds are already hanging over Indianapolis.
