LB Daryl Washington Active This Sunday, Beanie Wells, LaRod Stephens-Howling Out vs. Seahawks

The Arizona Cardinals defense will be getting a bit of a boost this Sunday as linebacker Daryl Washington has been cleared to play against the Seattle Seahawks this afternoon, while their offense will take a hit with both Beanie Wells and LaRod Stephens-Howling inactive with injury.

Washington has been dealing with a calf strain that has left him out of some practice this week, but he's healthy enough to lace them up this Sunday, looking to give the Cards struggling defense a helping hand. Stewart Bradley and Reggie Walker both didn't look too hot against the Redskins last week, but hopefully the second year linebacker out of Texas Christian will have an impact in his return.

Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton said earlier in the week that he would be scaling back some of the complexities of his new defense. The team is still having trouble adapting to the new system which has lead to several blown assignments which in turn lead to big plays for the opponent.

Beanie Wells tried to suit up earlier today but ultimately was deemed unable to go. As for Stephens-Howling, he has a cast on his right hand, which will inhibit his ability to run the ball for obvious reasons. Stephens-Howling is also an important part of the special teams as both an explosive kick returner but also as a gunner on special teams where he's able to use his speed to get down field in coverage.
