Cardinals CB Crezdon Butler Dislocates Ankle, Out Indefinitely

Cornerback Crezdon Butler suffered a dislocated ankle in practice on Thursday and it's looking like he'll miss a significant amount of time, quite possibly the rest of the season.

Crezdon Butler is a former fifth-round pick out of Clemson by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010. Butler saw action in just four games with the Steelers in 2010. In a preseason game for the Steelers this year against Atlanta, Butler recorded nine tackles and returned an interception 95-yards for a touchdown.

Butler was claimed and signed off of waivers on September 4th. At 6-0, 191, he's known as a long and physical cornerback that can play safety or nickelback as well. Cardinals' Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton, formerly Defensive Backs coach with the Steelers, knew what Butler could do after watching him play much of last year.

It's not a huge blow to the Cardinals defense at this time because he was pretty far down on the depth chart, but it's unfortunate nonetheless.
