NFL Preseason Week 2 TV Schedule: Bring On The Defending Champs

After a few impressive performances (see New England Patriots), disappointing outings (see Cincinnati Bengals) and temper tantrums (see Rex Ryan), the NFL rolls into Week 2 of its preseason action this week. The Arizona Cardinals will square off against the defending champion Green Bay Packers in what could be- and often is- an explosive match-up. The TV schedule calls for 5:00 local time start on Friday with the broadcast on ABC TV-15.

The last time these two teams played in the 2009 NFC Wild Card game, they combined to put up more total points (96), touchdowns (13) and first downs (62) than any two teams have ever put up in a single postseason game.

Don't expect quite the same firepower this time around, since it is the preseason and most of the starters will be playing limited minutes, but do expect an entertaining game from two teams that seem to bring out the best in each other.

The other three NFC West teams play their second preseason games on Saturday. The San Francisco 49ers host the Oakland Raiders and the St. Louis Rams host the Tennessee Titans at 5:00 p.m.. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings at 7:00 p.m..

There are three nationally televised games slated for Week 2: Thursday's Philadelphia Eagles- Pittsburgh Steelers game at 5:00 on FOX, Sunday's San Diego Chargers- Dallas Cowboys game at 5:00 on NBC and Monday's Chicago Bears-New York Giants game at 5:00 on ESPN.
