Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett says he loves to sing, and that singing is his first love and football is his "part time job."
This offseason he's going to work with a vocalist, he claimed Sunday, to try to put an album together next year.
Hmmmmm...... Well, we'll see.
"Football is my backup plan," he said.
Dockett did not sing for the TV cameras.
Dockett had plenty more to say. He said the difference between the Cardinals' defense between 2010 and 2011 is "night and day" and that the defense is hungry this year after losing so much last season.
"Letting a team win our division, a 7-9 team, a team that we're supposed to beat and finishing last place in the division with so many expectations the year before, we're just focused," Dockett said. "We treat each other like we're opponents in practice and that's what you want. And every day somebody's getting called out, whether they're lacking, whether they're not finishing, whether something. We're not pointing a finger at them, we're just pointing a finger because we know they can do better."
Dockett saw overweight players doing cardio at 6 a.m. Sunday morning, another sign that players are committed.
