In this offseason of the NFL lockout and ubiquitous rumors about the Arizona Cardinals and who their starting quarterback will be in 2001, the one name that has remained constant as the likely favorite for the role is Kevin Kolb. He has been analyzed, picked apart and criticized more than probably is his share. His current coach, Andy Reid, has said he could lead a team to the Super Bowl. Many critics see him as an A.J. Feeley type player who is simply the result of Reid's quarterback -friendly.
↵In a recent breakdown of Kolb's NFL starts by Foxsports.com writer Adam Caplan and NFL Films' Greg Cosell, he was compared to longtime Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck.
↵Some might see this as a knock, but let's be honest. How bad would it be if Kolb turned out minimally like the old baldy Hasselbeck? After all, he has led Seattle to five NFC West division titles, five playoff victories and a Super Bowl berth (which with a few calls in Seattle's favor would have been a Super Bowl victory).
↵He has been arguably the most successful NFC West QB since Steve Young.
↵For all the Kevin Kolb doubters and critics out there, would that type of QB be such a bad thing for the Cardinals, considering what fans suffered in 2010?
