The Arizona Cardinals have already acquired their quarterback of the future earlier today in Kevin Kolb and now they're looking to improve defensively. Free agent linebacker Stewart Bradley, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, is the target.
From a tweet courtesy of Jason La Canfora:
Cards making a push for Eagles free agent LB Stewart Bradley. Could be a real nice fit switching over to 3-4 scheme
Bradley, a 27-year old linebacker out of Nebraska, has spent the first three seasons of his career in Philadelphia. He battled injuries at times in the 2010 season and missed four games, but he's proven to be a reliable option. He's recorded 186 tackles in those three seasons and has just three sacks in that time span.
As mentioned in the tweet, Bradley could be a real nice fit for Arizona. The Cardinals have been a busy franchise this week and the signing of Bradley would be yet another good move as they prepare for the upcoming season.
News and Notes:
The Cardinals made two other significant moves today. Quarterback Derek Anderson has been released and so has linebacker Gerald Hayes.
