As the NFL Lockout continues but negotiations are furiously attempting to get a new deal done, still the rumors fly about the Arizona Cardinals and the most high profile quarterback on the market this offseason -- Philadelphia Eagles QB Kevin Kolb. As time has gone on the rumors have changed. Here is a quick rundown of what has come up, including just in the last week.
- Kolb for Patrick Peterson
- Kolb for a first round draft pick
- Kolb for a first round pick and a player, such as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
- Kolb for multiple draft picks
- Kolb for DRC
- Kolb for Daryl Washington
- Kolb for a "surprise player"
No one really knows what to think, and truthfully, teams aren't even allowed to discuss player acquisitions. However, there has surely been internal discussions by all teams about who their targets are and what/who they would be willing to give up to acquire said targets.
Until the NFL lockout is over and the offseason has its true commencement, all there is is banter and guessing, and perhaps a tinge of true information. However, there will likely be more "reports" between now and then.
