2012 NFL Pro Bowl Selections: Which Cardinals Deserve To Go?

The 2012 NFL Pro Bowl selections will be announced on a special TV show on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m on the NFL Network. The selections are based on a combination of voting by fans, coaches and players with each group counting for one-third of the decision.

Not surprisingly, no Arizona Cardinals won the fan voting portion at any position. There's always a chance, however, that the players and coaches will see things differently. Here's a few Cardinals players who could and maybe should get in.

↵

Larry Fitzgerald, WR: There's really no reason why Fitzgerald doesn't get the most fan votes other than the unfortunate (for him) fact that he plays in a smaller market in Arizona that doesn't get much national attention or respect. The leading fan vote-getter was Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. With a nick name like "Megatron", you can see why fans were so excited.

↵

Patrick Peterson, PR: Patrick Peterson tied an NFL record with four punt return touchdowns and he won two games on his own and had a big return that didn't go for a TD but was crucial to winning a third game. Devin Hester got more fan votes, but don't be surprised if players and coaches go for Peterson.

And that's it. We don't expect see any other Cardinals being selected but guys that could considered dark horses or possible replacements are Calais Campbell, Daryl Washington, and Adrian Wilson.
