Cardinals Vs. Bengals Score Update: Cincinnati Leads 10-0 After First Quarter

The Arizona Cardinals are in Ohio for Week 16 taking on the Cincinnati Begals. Both teams are desperate to keep their postseason hopes alive with only two games remaining in the 2011 season. Through one quarter of play, the Bengals lead, 10-0

The opening drive for the Cardinals did not go terribly well. After a John Skelton pass to Larry Fitzgerald to give the Cardinals a second first down, Skelton was sacked for a loss of 11 yards. On the subsequent 2nd-and-21 play, Skelton threw an interception to Rey Maualuga, which set up the Bengals right on the verge of the Cardinals red zone. Luckily, the Bengals were forced to settle for a 24-yard Mike Nugent field goal that put Cincinnati up, 3-0.

On the following Cardinals possession, Skelton was again sacked, forcing Arizona to punt. The Bengals took over at midfield and quarterback Andy Dalton led them on a 5-play drive that ended with an 11-yard pass to Jermaine Gresham, who managed to get both feet down in the end zone before landing out of bounds. The touchdown gave the Bengals a 10-0 lead.

Beanie Wells managed to pick up 14 yards on his first five carries and now has over 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Skelton has been sacked three times in addition to the interception.
