As the Arizona Cardinals prepare to face old rival the Dallas Cowboys the Cards have made a few roster moves on Tuesday. According to a press release from the team, the Cardinals have released fullback Reagan Maui'a and they have signed wide receiver Jaymar Johnson to the 53-man roster. Maui'a was originally cut coming out of training camp but made the team when Anthony Sherman was injured. Now that Sherman is back, there is little need for Maui'a on the active roster.
Johnson has not played in an NFL game since 2009, when he had one reception in six games for the Minnesota Vikings. Johnson has been on the practice squad, and he had a very successful career at Jackson State in college. He was originally a 6th round draft choice of the Vikings in the 2008 NFL Draft, but he was unable to catch on permanently during his career in Minnesota.
