NFL Power Rankings, Week 9: Cardinals Continue Slide

Don't look now, but the Arizona Cardinals are not a good football team. As teams continue to position themselves for the second half of the season, the Cardinals have firmly secured a place near the bottom, wallowing in the despair of a season full of missed opportunities and not reaching expectations, including surrendering a big lead in their recent loss to the Ravens.

Oh, and the Power Rankings across the country aren't being kind to them either.

ESPN and CBS Sportsline both dropped the Cardinals to no. 30 after they were no. 29 in both rankings last week. ESPN resorted to making a local TV blackout quip while Sportsline went to the old faithful of Kevin Kolb and whether a change is in store at quarterback next season. Ouch.

SBNation has been a bit more kind in its ranking of the Cardinals mainly due to the high expectations for the team heading into the season. The Cardinals dropped from no. 27 to no. 28 but not without SBNation pointing out their offensive and defensive league ranks, their six game losing streak and a shout out to their campaign for worst team in the league.

Other than that, everything is going great in the desert.
