As the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys are set to kick off this Christmas Day, the inactives were announced. For the Cardinals, as expected, LaRod Stephens-Howling will not play because of his hamstring injury. Andre Roberts will return kicks in his place. Linebacker Joey Porter is also inactive. Rookie O'Brien Schofield will make his first NFL start in his place. The other inactives, CB AJ Jefferson, CB Marshay Green, LB Curtis Gatewood and C Ben Claxton, are no surprise. DAnderson is the third QB.
With the start of Schofield, that makes six rookies who have started this season for the Cardinals. This type of experience will only be good for the team long-term, much like when Karlos Dansby and Darnell Dockett were playing their rookie seasons under Dennis Green. Hopefully the development of these young players can mirror that of Dockett, Dansby and others.
