Arizona Cardinals Injury Report, Week 12: Greg Toler And Calais Campbell Out Of Thanksgiving Practice

The Arizona Cardinals held a shortened Thanksgiving practice, with the intentions of giving the players three days to do two days of work in preparation for their Monday Night Football matchup against the San francisco 49ers. Calais Campbell (ankle) and Greg Toler (foot) were the only players to not practice at all. There were six other players that were limited, including Darnell Dockett (shoulder), Steve Breaston (knee), and LaRod Stephens-Howling (hamstring).

As mentioned in a previous update, CB Marshay Green was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad, which was necessitated by the injuries to Toler and also CB Michael Adams, who was limited in Thursday's practice. Additionally, the lack of production in punt returns may give Green the opportunity to return punts.

In recent roster moves, RB Alphonso Smith was re-signed to the practice squad, as I expected. He was previously there before last week, when he was promoted to the active roster for the game against Kansas City. He was released earlier in the week when Green was promoted to the 53-man roster. The Cardinals also signed DE Jeremy Navarre to the practice squad. He played in 2009 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
