Kansas State's Fiesta Bowl showdown with the Oregon Ducks will mark the final time that Wildcats' head coach Bill Snyder will have an opportunity to coach senior quarterback Collin Klein.
With a track record as impressive as Klein's, one might think the praise the 73-year-old head coach might heap on his star quarterback would be about his impressive statistics and on-field exploits, but the compliment Snyder paid Klein in a meeting with the media on Wednesday spoke of the senior's character instead.
"You said, 'What one thing would you say about Collin.' I would say he's genuine," Snyder said.
Klein had a stellar 2012 season, completing 180-of- 272 passes for 2.490 yards for 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and rushing for 890 yards and 22 touchdowns en route to an 11-1 record.
Kickoff at the Fiesta Bowl is slated for 6:30 p.m. MT at University of Phoenix Stadium and the game will be televised on ESPN.
