It's time for one of the silliest traditions in all of college football: Food bets between civic leaders with vested interest in the outcome of sporting events.
In one corner, you have Kansas State president Kirk Schulz. On the other, there's University of Oregon president Michael Gottfredson. As is the case with these situations, both sides put in their own local delicacies on the line and send it to the winner. What is each president offering to the other in case their team loses the Fiesta Bowl?
With Kansas State, Schulz is putting up Kansas beef and flour. On the other side, Oregon's Gottfredson is offering salmon, hazelnuts and honey. Both are regional delicacies. Schulz is hoping to get some wine, although it doesn't look like that's part of the deal yet.
Schulz usually predicts the score of the Fiesta Bowl for Kansas State, although he has yet to do so.
