The Arizona State Sun Devils received 10 votes in the recently released Associated Press College Football Poll after blowing out the Illinois Fighting Illini, 45-14, on Saturday.
The Sun Devils started the season with a 63-6 shellacking of Northern Arizona and their two early season offensive outbursts currently places them seventh in the nation in points per game at 54.0.
The Sun Devils could accumulate a little more support from the voters as time progresses as the next four games include three very winnable ones before they host the No. 4 Oregon Ducks and No. 22 UCLA Bruins in back-to-back weeks.
The Sun Devils travel to play the Missouri Tigers in a nationally televised game on ESPN 2 on Saturday in the one game to look out for prior to the Oregon game.
