Round 3 of the 2012 BMW Championship is underway, and as things progress Rory McIlroy has joined Vijay Singh in the lead. Both men are 13-under overall through four holes after McIlroy picked up a birdie on No. 4 to climb the leaderboard. Tiger Woods is through five holes and has slid a few places down the leaderboard. After back-to-back bogies on holes No. 4 and 5 he's at 10-under overall and tied for ninth place.
Former ASU standout Phil Mickelson is having a good day. After opening the day tied for 13th he's moved up to a tie for third at 12-under overall. He's 4-under through eight so far in the third round. He came very close to moving into a tie for the lead with an eagle attempt on hole No. 9, but had to settle for another birdie.
Ben Curtis is having the best round of the day so far, shooting 5-under through 12, including four straight birdies on holes No. 9 through 12.
