The second round of the 2012 BMW Championship of golf gets underway Friday morning at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., with Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods teeing off at 9:54 a.m. PT along with playing partner Nick Watney.
McIlroy is in a four-way tie for the lead after the first round, and Woods is right behind that group in fifth place tied with Vijay Singh. Singh tees off at 8:59 P.T.
McIlroy fired an opening-round 64. Webb Simpson, Bo Van Pelt and Graham DeLaet are even with McIlroy at 8-under par.
Woods is one back of the leaders after knocking in nine birdies and two bogeys to finish with a 7-under 65.
After a promising start, former Arizona State golfer Phil Mickelson stumbled on the last seven holes. He went 4-under through 11 before running into trouble with three bogeys and two birdies to finish at 69 for the day. That left him tied for 29th.
Mickelson is in a group that tees off 11 minutes before McIlroy and Woods. The pairings are here.
The top 30 players in FedEx Cup points advance to the Tour Championship. Friday's action will be on tape delay on the Golf Channel from noon to 3 p.m. in Arizona.
