College Football Picks: Experts Like Oklahoma State Over Arizona

After a somewhat lackluster schedule to open the college football season last week, there are plenty of intriguing games this weekend. In what will be a nightcap for most of the country and a primetime showdown for the West Coast, the Arizona Wildcats and Oklahoma St. Cowboys will meet in Tucson.

Despite featuring a freshman quarterback making the first road start of his career, the oddsmakers in Las Vegas have made the No. 18 Cowboys double-digit favorites. Let's see how the experts are picking this game.

Ted Miller of ESPN's Pac-12 blog:

Oklahoma State 35, Arizona 30. I suspect the Wildcats have a better shot than many suspect, playing at home against a freshman quarterback, with Matt Scott giving Arizona a significant advantage behind center. That said, the Wildcats' track record in two previous meetings as well as a questionable front seven makes it difficult to pull the trigger on an upset pick.

Kevin Gemmell of ESPN's Pac-12 blog:

Oklahoma State 45, Arizona 28. A nice win for the Wildcats last week, but the defense probably isn't ready yet for a high-powered offense like the Cowboys'.

CBS Sports had their seven experts and one computer simulation predict the game. Everyone except national blogger Tom Fornelli picked Oklahoma State.

SB Nation Studios' Dan Rubenstein made his Week 2 picks in the video below:

Kickoff from Arizona Stadium on Saturday night is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PDT.
