BMW Championship Leaderboard: Tiger Woods Tied For Lead At 5-Under

The 2012 BMW Championship is underway at Crooked Stick, and conditions are ripe for low numbers early during Thursday's first round.

Tiger Woods, Ian Poulter and Bo Van Pelt have a one-shot lead at 5-under midway through their first rounds, though could have some company very soon as Fedex Cup points leader Rory McIlroy is currently tied for third place a 4-under along with Jimmy Walker, Ryan Palmer and Zach Johnson.

A number of players find themselves at 3-under as well, including Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Webb Simpson, Steve Stricker and five others. Phil Mickelson is even on his round today through 10 holes played.

Although it's still early, the leaderboard remains tight as the highest score so far today is 2-over. A couple of birdies strung together could mean a big jump in this first round.
