Andy Roddick has seen his fourth-round match against Juan Martin Del Potro delayed for a second time as rain hit Flushing Meadows, NY on Wednesday morning. Weather has been an issue during the second week of play at the 2012 U.S. Open, as play was once again suspended at 8:20 a.m. PT.
Roddick and Del Potro were at an important juncture, as Roddick was up 1-0 in a first-set tiebreak.
Maria Sharapova was likely relieved to have her match against No. 11 Marion Bartoli delayed. Bartoli has broken both Sharapova's serving games and leads 4-0 in the first set with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
Eighth-seeded Janko Tipsarevic was also in action on the men's side. He holds a 5-2 first-set lead over Phillip Kohlschreiber of Germany in their fourth-round duel.
