Andy Murray advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2012 U.S. Open with an easy, straight-set victory over Canada's Milos Raonic at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Monday night. Murray didn't see a break point as he cruised to a 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 win. He will face Marin Cilic in the next round.
Serena Williams and Venus Williams saw their run of dominance on the doubles court end on Monday. The defending Wimbledon champions and gold medalists in London were ousted by Russians Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova.
It was the second match of the day for Serena, who won in straight sets in her singles contest. Kirilenko and Petrova move on to meet Spain's Nuria Llagostera Vives and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in the quarterfinals.
