NFL Picks, Week 3: Peter King Takes Eagles Over Cardinals In Low-Scoring Affair

The NFL experts are weighing in with their picks columns as we move closer to Week 3 of the NFL regular season. One of the surprising matchups of unbeatens this weekend features the Philadelphia Eagles battling the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale. Here is Peter King's pick this week from his weekly picks column on Sports Illustrated. King takes Philadelphia to win 13-9 over Arizona.

The Eagles have won ugly twice. They're the first team in NFL history to win their first two games by one point each. What can they do for an encore? Shut down their former McNabb heir, Kevin Kolb. I see the Eagles turning the turnover tables, with Mike Vick protecting the ball (finally) and making fewer mistakes than Kolb. That wins this battle of top-10 defenses.

Arizona has performed very well thanks to some great defensive performances to hold down Seattle at home and particularly New England on the road. Arizona has gotten two yeoman performances from backup QB Kevin Kolb, replacing the injured John Skelton. Philadelphia has had two narrow close-calls against Cleveland and Baltimore and have gotten erratic performances from Michael Vick, but have pulled it out in the final minutes thanks to come-from-behind drives by Vick. Will Kolb get revenge on his former employers, or will Philadelphia get partial justification for their decision to release him?
