A thrilling Week 2 of the 2012 NFL season concludes Monday night at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The last game of the football week is the Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons, the Dan Reeves Bowl (Reeves coached both teams).
The Falcons (1-0) are three-point favorites at home, with an explosive offense featuring quarterback Matt Ryan and his three ace targets, Tony Gonzalez, Roddy White and Julio Jones. The Falcons can light up the scoreboard -- they put 40 points on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.
This is Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's first road game as a Bronco. But Manning is dome-savvy having played at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis for many years, so that high white ceiling and lighting shouldn't affect him.
Denver overwhelmed Pittsburgh 31-19 in Week 1 and is also 1-0. The Broncos' pass defense and pass rush will test Ryan and his receivers, which could mean more carries for running back Michael Turner. Either way, expect plenty of pass attempts and fast offensive tempo from both offenses.
Pick: Ryan is 26-4 in 30 career regular-season games at home as the starter. The Falcons will rattle Manning just enough and both win and cover the spread.
