Arizona Cardinals running backs Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams were both full participants in Wednesday's practice and should play in Sunday's game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., according to Rotoworld.com.
Wells is nursing a right knee injury that caused him to miss significant time last season and was nagging during last week's opener. Williams, a second-year player out of Virginia Tech, was absent from the team's injury report after tearing the patellar tendon in his right knee during his rookie campaign.
Both backs will have a difficult task ahead in facing a Patriots run defense that held Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson to a paltry four yards on 11 carries during Week 1. Given their injury histories and their opposition, they could each be in for a long day on Sunday afternoon.
Wells should get the start over Williams, who earned the nod in Week 1 due to the former Ohio State Buckeye's ailing knee.
