Defensive Tackle Ricky Lumpkin Rejoins Arizona Cardinals Practice Squad

Now that teams have their rosters at 53 players, on Saturday, they were able to begin forming their eight-man practice squads. The Arizona Cardinals have begun adding players, including one who returns to the team. Defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, who was part of final cuts on Friday, will join the Arizona practice squad, according to a tweet he sent out himself.

Lumpkin spent 2011 on the practice squad as well. Players with less than nine active games in their career may be on a team's practice squad and can do so for a maximum of three seasons.

Lumpkin is most known for his illegal hit on former Cardinals Matt Leinart in the preseason. He was fined $21,000 for the play. Since he is not on the active roster, he will not have to pay that fine.
