College GameDay Schedule: Arizona's Showdown With UCLA Selected By ESPN

The Arizona Wildcats and UCLA Bruins will be featured on ESPN's College GameDay program next march. The crew, which has featured Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis, Rece Davis, Digger Phelps and Bob Knight in the past, will make their way to renovated Pauley Pavilion on March 2 to cover the Pac-12 showdown.

What could be on the line when these two schools meet?

Arizona and UCLA are both expected to be preseason top-10 squads. Assuming they gel together and the incoming freshmen play up to their potential, they'll likely both be near the top of the rankings once March rolls around. A win in this game could be the difference between a No. 1, 2 or 3 seed.

Then there is the impact of the Pac-12. The 'Cats and Bruins are the heavy favorites to finish at the top, although it seems like most experts are split on who's actually the better team. Along with their meeting in Tucson on January 24, you can bet this game will play a huge role in deciding who gets to cut the nets down at the end of the regular season.

Finally, there's the aspect of a rivalry re-emerging on the west coast. UA and UCLA have been up and down the last few seasons, but it appears both programs are destined for greatness moving forward. This game will be the biggest one played west of the MIssissippi this season, and you can bet it'll be a raucous atmosphere in Westwood.

Game time has been set for 6 p.m. PST and will be aired on ESPN. Find the full GameDay schedule here.
