Team USA finished in second place in the overall medal count yet again following Tuesday's action. The U.S. has battled China atop the leaderboard throughout, although they've been unable to reclaim the top spot since they lost it over the weekend.
Fortunately for the Americans still in competition, many of them are favored in their events and figure to bring home multiple medals for their country.
China leads all countries with 73 medals. They've won 34 golds, 21 silvers and 18 bronze. The USA has a comfortable lead in second place with a total of 70 medals, 30 of which are gold. They've also won 19 silver and 21 bronze.
Great Britain has made a big move in recent days and is now tied with Russia for third place. Both nations have won a total of 48 medals, although Great Britain has won 22 medals compared to Russia's 10.
