London 2012 Olympics: Will Claye Earns Bronze For Team USA In Men's Long Jump Final

Team USA added another bronze to the medal count, with Phoenix native Will Claye taking third in the men's long jump event. Greg Rutherford of Great Britain took gold with a jump of 8.31 meters, Mitchell Watt of Australia came in second with a jump of 8.16 meters, and Claye was close behind in third with 8.12 meters.

Claye is one of only five athletes for Team USA who will compete in two track & field events. Having collected his bronze, he will go on to compete in the men's triple jump event. The qualifying round for that event takes place Tuesday, Aug. 7 and the final round will be Thursday, Aug. 9. Claye is the 2012 World Indoors champ in the long jump, giving him a good shot at the gold.
