We are officially one week into the 2012 Olympics. The United States has done very well so far, winning the events they normally do and even surprising in various competitions such as judo and archery. Here is what to watch for on Saturday, August 4.
This is the last big day for Swimming with four medals on the table. At 11:30 a.m. PST, the women's 50m freestyle will take place. This is followed by the men's 1500m freestyle at 11:36. The next race is the women's 4x100m IM. That is scheduled to start at 12:06 p.m. The final race of the day is the men's 4x100m IM, and that's set for 12:27.
A total of six gold medals will be distributed following a very busy day in Track & Field. The main events will be the men's long jump and 10,000m final. On the women's side, they have medals up for grabs in the discus throw and 100m dash.
Team USA basketball will be in action yet again after winning their last game by an astounding 80+ points. They will take on Lithuania, a club they're 34.5-point favorites over.
There are also four gold medals to be awarded in rowing, and two in the always-entertaining badminton.
