First round coverage of the 2012 U.S. Open continues on Tuesday. Many prominent tennis stars will be in action, including Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic. There is one Arizona product in the field. Bethanie Mattek-Sands trains in Phoenix, and she'll be a heavy underdog in her first round matchup when she faces Venus Williams in what figures to be a late afternoon matchup at Arthur Ashe.
