The Barclays 2012 Results: Sergio Garcia Takes The Lead, Tiger Woods Struggles

The third round of the 2012 Barclays tournament has been completed, and heading into the final day Sergio Garcia is at the top of the leaderboard. Garcia shot 2-under on Saturday, settling into first with a score of 10-under overall. Nick Watney, who opened the day tied for first with Garcia, isn't far behind. He shot an even par for the round, and is 8-under overall.

Kevin Stadler sits in third place after starting the day in 42nd, having shot 6-under for round three for a score of 7-under overall. Brand Snedeker is tied with Bob Estes for fourth, both at 6-under, and Brian Harman, Greg Chalmers, Ryan Moore, and John Senden tie for sixth at 5-under.

Tiger Woods opened Saturday tied for seventh, but shot a 1-over 72 to slide two places and finish in ninth. It wouldn't be impossible for him to make a run in the fourth round, but he'd need a great game and a lot of luck.

Former ASU Sun Devil Phil Mickleson improved on his previous rounds significantly, shooting 4-under for the day and raising 42 places in the rankings to end the day tied for 10th place.
