The Arizona Cardinals are done with training camp in Flagstaff. The Cardinals spend much of their fall camp (20 days in all) training at Northern Arizona University, and now they're headed back to their actual headquarters in Tempe.
Vince Marotta of Arizona Sports 620 has this report from the camp, including some quotes from Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
"Another one in the books, it was a good camp," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "Seems like there was a lot going on this year, between the Hall of Fame and the Kansas City trip and then coming back and forth here.
"We got a lot of work done here and now it's back down to the Valley."
The biggest issue in training camp is the situation concerning the starting quarterbacks. Will it be Kevin Kolb or John Skelton who ends up winning the job? It's starting to look as if Skelton might be the quarterback the Cardinals turn to in the end.
In addition to the quarterback battle, there are still a lot of possibilities on what the final 53-man roster will end up looking like. Whisenhunt elaborated on the process it might take to find the lineup he's looking for.
