The Arizona Wildcats will be undergoing a period of transition as they begin the Rich Rodriguez era. They will be putting together a new offense that moves more from pass-heavy elements to a run-heavy offense.
Matt Scott may be just the guy to anchor that type of offense. But can he carry the load on the ground? It'll be a tall task for him to deal with this off-season. But this is his final season in college, so he should have managed the maximal amount of time to hone the skills needed to master Rich-Rod's schemes.
Scott talked with Dan Rubenstein of SB Nation Studios about what it means to be the incumbent starting QB for his final season in Arizona.
A lot of the defensive responsibilities will also fall under Jake Fischer's watch. Fischer will be anchoring a defense that didn't perform very well in 2012 and will now have to replace a lot of those players with new faces. He'll have to adjust to a new scheme and style as well with Jeff Casteel installing the 3-3-5.
Here's Fischer's interview.
