Arizona Cardinals Remove TE Jeff King From PUP

As the Arizona Cardinals begin their three days of practice in Flagstaff, they made one move with their roster. Tight end Jeff King, who had offseason surgery on his quad, was removed from the preseason PUP list and started practicing on Monday.

King, who led the tight ends on the team with receptions a year ago, is expected to be a starter and get playing time, as he is considered the best blocking tight end on the squad. His receptions were a bonus. He had 27 catches for 271 yards and three touchdowns.

King was at work right away in practice, as he was working in 7-on-7 drills right at the start of practice.

He and Beanie Wells were both on the preseason PUP at the start of training camp. Both are now active.
