London Olympics 2012: Team USA Dominates France In Women's Basketball Gold Medal Game

Team USA cruised to victory in the women's basketball gold medal game, beating France 86-50. The American team simply overwhelmed the French, leading by as much as 38 and including a 19 point scoring streak at one point. It is the fifth straight gold medal for the U.S. women's basketball team.

Candace Parker led the team in scoring, picking up 21 points. The Phoenix Mercury's Diana Taurasi was a strong presence in the game, playing 29 minutes and picking up nine points, six assists and three rebounds. Team USA shot 31-for-64 for two pointers and made 3-of-8 3-point shots. They dominated France in turnovers, giving the ball up only 11 times while taking it away 21 times.
